Along
with ten years of owning and operating the Rubber Room Jerry
is also a veteran live sound technician that has mixed for artists
such as Lyle Lovett, Nancy Griffith, Stephane Grappelli, Ralph
Stanley, Tony Rice, Bella Fleck, Jerry Jeff Walker, Alison Krauss,
Doc Watson, The Red Clay Ramblers and The North Carolina Symphony.
Also a sound designer for theatre productions at the Ford Theater
in DC, Duke University's Bryan Theatre, UNC's Paul Green Theatre,
UNC's Memorial Hall, Cincinnati's Cincinnati Playhouse and the
Richard Rodgers Theater on Broadway in NYC.
Jerry
continues to record and tour with his band, The Shady Grove
Band. For twenty- five years the band has toured extensively
coast to coast in the US and Canada in addition to playing thirteen
tours in 9 Central European countries. They have performed at
venues ranging from the Lincoln Center in NYC, the Grass Valley
Bluegrass festival in California, Merle Fest in NC to the goofiest
small time gigs you can imagine. The band is now working on
their 25th anniversary record to follow up on their four previous
releases two of which are on the Flying Fish (Rounder) Label
of Chicago Illinois.
